Finding ladies golf clubs to fit any female golfer has always been a difficult task and although more women are now playing golf it does not seem to get any easier.
Because all of us, both males and females, are human and therefore different than each other, there will always be a problem when trying to find suitable golf equipment.
Fewer Women then Men need Golf Clubs
Golf clubs are a specialist market and one that is driven by demand and this is where lady golfers miss out. The number of women playing golf is still smaller compared to the number of men that play so ladies golf clubs tend to be a smaller market restricted by the high costs of producing specialist clubs just for ladies.
Sometimes a lucky lady will find just one she needs in a golf club straight off the shelf but it is definitely more usual for this not to occur. What normally happens is that the search for a ladies golf club that is comfortable to use takes a long time to find and this becomes an even longer process when the complete golf club set is required.
Women Have Different Physical Attributes
The physical differences between men and women means that both sexes have different requirements when it comes to selecting that perfect golf club. A club that is too stiff or too flexible will not be suitable for the lady golfer and a standard gold club is unlikely to match a female golfers swing in most cases.
For women a lighter golf club will mean that they can hit longer shots but there may be a downside in that there is less control than would be gained from a heavier club. Another important criteria for women golf players is the length of the golf club as for a woman shorter is better and a lot more comfortable.
It always pats to test the exact fit and comfort factor of potential golf clubs before making a final choice. For ladies this may mean a lot of research and testing before they get the clubs that they want.
What About Custom Clubs or Clubs Designed for Women
Today many golf clubs for females are purpose built for all types of clubs, including irons, woods and wedges using different designs and incorporating different materials to help the woman golfer. The general trend here is for lighter clubs that will help ladies improve their game and therefore enable them to progress more easily.
As female golfers improve and progress then the demand for that perfect set of golf clubs will become greater and greater. Then the only solution may be to buy an set of custom made golf clubs to that perfect fit across the range.
Custom made ladies golf clubs are expensive and you should be prepared for this. But getting the best fit will ensure that the improvement in your golf game will be much more likely and probably worth the cost of this investment.
Today it is actually now easier to find golf clubs that a designed just for the woman golfer, however it really should be easier than it is for female golf players to find clubs that will help her improve and that match her style.

Bad equipment will hold back any lady golfer so it is important to find what you really need as soon as you can and getting the right equipment is essential if you want to progress.
