What goes with my Cuban Cigar

If you want enjoy your Cuban cigar smoking experience, I say add a nice drink to it, such as a beautiful scotch. Scotch and cigars are literally made for each other. Just like a little pepper on your pasta can make your pasta taste so much better, same idea here when smoking Cuban cigars. A glass of Scotch is a nice add-on to any Cuban cigar in my book. However, it all depends on what kind of Scotch.
You should note, however, that the cigar and the spirit should work together, neither one over whelming the other. This is easier said than done, because like cigars, digestifs can be different and varied. While a certain cigar may seem an ideal match for a articular Scotch, the same cigar might be lost if it were paired with a lighter, more elegant cognac. But, as we emphasized about cigars, you should keep in mind this is a matter of personal taste.
Some people prefer a single malt with a cigar, while others will swear that a cognac is superior. In the end, the accompaniment should be determined only by what appeals to you. Single-malt Scotch with a cigar: the tow make a good marriage of old, traditionally made natural products derived from the bounty of the earth’s specific micro-climates. Single malts are produced throughout Scotland, from the lowlands to the upper islands in the north, but the four principal single malt regions are Isley, Skye, the Lowlands, and the Highlands.
You are probably thinking which combination is right for you. By combination I mean which Cuban cigar goes with which Scotch. Although this is a personal decision, all depending on what kind of taste you prefer. If you like strong cigars, go for light tasting Scotch. Yes Scotch in general have a strong taste but try the lightest version. It’s almost like a very sophisticated balancing act but when you do find the right combo, it becomes a beautiful thing.
Experimenting with your Cuban cigars and Scotch is what it’s all about. This is just the best way to learn and to truly find what you are looking for. The rule of thumb here is that if your cigar is strong, go with a lighter Scotch. If your cigar is somewhat mild, than you are way better of with a strong cigar. Take your time as you try different Scotchs and Cigars and soon you’ll have your very own perfect mix.
