Important Tips in Finding Cheap International Airline Tickets

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Ada Denis

Wouldn’t it be nice to travel all over the world? How would you like to see the great pyramids in Egypt and even get the chance to explore pharaoh tombs? Don’t you just want to see the lushness of the Amazon River and get in touch with nature? Have you ever traveled along the Great Wall and let yourself in on a first-hand experience of the culturally-rich Chinese lifestyle?

Yes, traveling is one of the best perks in life. Nothing beats a vacation which involves international travel. But of course, we all know how international flights can be too expensive and painful on the pocket. Even if they say that nowadays everything comes with a price, we still find it difficult to shell out something just so we could travel across countries.

Still, there’s no need for you to worry. There are cheap international airline tickets which you can avail nowadays and they do fit any type of budget real well. So even if you cannot afford to really be all luxurious about the travel process, cheap international airline tickets are here to enable you to experience the world for a much lesser cost. Here are some tips you can use to help you find these great deals.

The first important thing which you should be well aware of is the fact that the prices of airline tickets change constantly. There’s really no fixed price on tickets, so the best way to go about it is to keep a tab on the price changes. Once it hits the numbers which you can actually afford, go make that action and purchase those cheap international airline tickets. To aid you with this, you should also research first regarding the possible price range of tickets for the travel destination you chose. The latter would help you gauge just how much budget you can actually allot for airfare.

In addition, be aware of tourist peak seasons. Some travel destinations become so popular on an annual basis. For example, Paris can become a tourist love spot during the month of February. This is because the city is known for its romantic mood and its familiar destinations well-suited for honeymooners and couples alike. So if you plan to go here during February, don’t expect you’ll get cheap international airline tickets if you’ll buy your airfare during the month itself.

One important tip, is that you have to educate yourself about the best periods to buy tickets. You have to balance the period of buying your airline tickets with how much actual budget you have at that time. Sure, the period is good and the prices are great but if you do not have enough savings yet, you won’t be able to afford it. Usually, the best period to buy cheap international airline tickets is four months to a couple of weeks before your actual flight. If you cannot afford it yet, you can also choose to make reservations first and pay the amount in full as soon as you have the needed budget.

Five Nifty Traveler Tips You Will Enjoy

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Ada Denis

I sure do like to travel. In my life plan, the most important elements to my existence are are family, health, happiness and travel. Fortunately for me I have been able to combine all of these elements in one big happy life package.

Here are five humerous but useful travel tips that I picked up over the last 2 decades from traveling around the globe. From the ruins of Machu Picchu to the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, as well as 40 of the 50 states, here are just a few of my long list of travel nuggets for local travel in the beautiful united states. I have accumulated these particular ones over the last 5 years, and best of all they don’t cost a dime!

1. The Versatile Hotel Coffee Packets: While traveling in the Midwest, I almost suffocated in my economy rental car that smelled of dog and body odor. Out of desperation, I placed the coffee filter pack from my hotel on the dashboard hoping to act as perfume. To my surprise, not only did the car adopt the cozy aroma of ground coffee, the filter bags actually seemed to absorb the odors in about a day.

2. Getting Full Use of the Campfire: When camping in the Sonoran desert, we build a warm fire when the sun set to keep us warm while we ate our dinner. Remembering a story I read when I was a boy, I placed four medium sized river stones around the fire (not in the fire). When we were ready to go to bed, I wrapped each of the rocks in a bath towel. Please note that they were hot but not sizzling to the touch. To make a long story short, we all slept like warm babies with our little packages in our sleeping bags that night!

3. Customize Your Luggage: When the cheap plastic wheels broke on my suitcase, I decided to replace them with an old pair of Rollerblade wheels. My suitcase lasted another five years and the gliding of the wheels were so much smoother and quieter that I replaced all my other luggage wheels with them.

4. Put Your Library Tax Dollars to Use: I own a timeshare in Hawaii. One day I discovered that as a local property tax payer I qualified for a library card. I don’t know if you have been to a library lately, but now when I am on vacation I can rent CDs and DVDs and best of all its closer than the nearest Blockbuster.

5. Let Technology Be Your Guide: If you want to get more detailed information on a desired destination, consult YouTube and Google. With YouTube you can find lots of people who post videos of their trip. This will give you a good feel for the true lay of the land rather than some post production masterpiece that was paid for by your resort. Use Google satellite to see what the actual terrain looks like and if your short walk to the beach requires crossing a four lane highway.

Finding a Perfect Beach for Your Outdoor Vacation

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Bob Itungen

As each year passes, there are more and more people as well as families that choose to take either a summer vacation or an outdoor vacation of some sort. In fact, many people are doing most of their traveling over the holiday season.

For many families, the hardest part of planning the vacations is the travel destination. In fact, many families plan to have an elegant vacation, however; there are still many that end up in similar locations-the beach. Because almost everyone loves the sun, sand, and of course the water; summer vacations on the beach are now considered to be the “hotspot.” No matter which beach you visit, there will be unlimited advantages as well as disadvantages to vacationing on the beach. For many, the biggest disadvantage is the large amount of people; especially on popular beaches.

When it comes to vacationing on a beach, many people believe that the only great spot to be is at a coastal location, however; that is not true! In fact, many people are now using the shores of lakes and rivers as beaches; which are considered to be inland beaches. Because inland beaches do not have as many accommodations many people are still leery of going to them. For many people the biggest turn off is not having a hotel, however; there are usually private cottages for rent. When renting a cottage, it is usually compared to as a normal house; because they are normally fully furnished with a couple sleeping quarters, bathrooms, and also a full kitchen.

Another reason why many inland beach cottages are popular for rentals is because they are so close to being on the water. Along with being right on the water, many of the cottages also have the land to themselves, privately; which allows the renters to do whatever they want day or night. One thing that many people think is a perk is that with many cottages they are grouped with other cottages; to have the feel of a small community. Although the cottages many be grouped together, they are still appropriately distanced from one another. Because there are more and more people renting cottages for their vacations, there are more and more services as well as facilities that are becoming available for them; nearby.

If you are in the United States and are interested in vacationing at an inland cottage, there are numerous options to be looked at. There are literally hundreds of inland beaches throughout the country that are of great standards. In fact, a large amount of the beaches can be found along Lake Michigan and also Lake Huron; which can easily be found in Michigan or Wisconsin. Also, another large group of beaches can be found in New York, which is in the Finger Lakes Region. Along with there being many great inland cottage rentals in the United States, there are many that can be found in Canada, as well! You don’t have to fly to Barcelona to enjoy beautiful weather.

Whether you are vacationing by yourself or with your family, there are many things that can be fun, relaxing, and also romantic while staying at an inland cottage! You just have to make it that!

14 Tips to Get Inexpensive Airline Tickets

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Ada Denis

Do you enjoy traveling? I do and am perpetually on the lookout for new and innovative ways to find airline travel cheap. Rather than dropping a bundle on the price of the airplane ticket, I’d rather spend my hard-earned savings on other things like splurging on a great dinner or shopping. Given this, I have put together a few tips to help in your search for inexpensive airline tickets.

1. Purchase a package. Buy airplane tickets, hotel, and car rental together and often you can save when comparing individual prices.

2. Flying one way is great but also usually the most expensive. You can save money by opting for connecting flights.

3. Check neighboring cities. As an example, if you are planning on flying into Orlando, FL, be sure to check out prices for flights to Tampa instead, as these flights are almost always less expensive and usually not too far out of your way.

4. If you are not traveling out of the country, consider flying on one of the smaller airlines for the major carriers as you will usually save on the purchase price this way.

5. Be sure to use the Internet to check out last-minute discount fares on the airline’s main website. Start looking midweek for the upcoming weekend.

6. Be patient and wait for an excellent price to come up. But when you do see a great price go ahead and purchase it, so always have in mind what your definition of a “good price” is so you’ll be ready to grab it at a moment’s notice. You never know when those awesome prices will show up.

7. If possible, you should be flexible with your leaving and return dates. Sometimes if you just adjust your dates by as little as one day you can get a cheaper price. For example, leave Wednesday and return Sunday instead of leaving Tuesday and returning Saturday.

8. If possible, book your tickets directly at the airline’s main website. If you use a travel agency, even one online, they will charge you an additional fee. It will also be much more simple to correct any problems if you are dealing directly with the airline itself instead of a travel agency. Believe me, I speak from experience on this one!

9. Mornings are sometimes the best time to check for tickets, and Saturday and Wednesday mornings are good days to take a look for some great prices. And don’t feel you have to stay over on a Saturday in order to get a better price. In the past this was thought to be helpful but not so much anymore.

10. Don’t forget to sign up for frequent flyer miles. It’s quite surprising how often people don’t take advantage of this perk. Even if you fly different airlines, sign up for each airline’s frequent flyer program. The miles add up faster than you realize.

11. Flying one way? This doesn’t always work but be sure to check for round-trip prices as well as one-way since there are times where it is actually cheaper to fly round-trip.

12. If you plan to travel on a holiday, be sure to book your tickets well in advance. For one thing, you will have a difficult time getting the seats and dates you want if you wait until the last minute, but you also will save on ticket prices by purchasing early. However, be sure of your itinerary because if you have to cancel or change your travel dates you’ll likely end up forfeiting any savings you had made.

13. Make sure you always book your flights at least 3 weeks in advance. This will get you the best prices. The earlier the better in this case. Never buy tickets within 7 days of your planned departure if you can help it, as you will usually pay a significantly higher price.

14. Consider traveling on the so-called red eye flights. Check with your travel agent to see if you can save with these late-night flights. You can often save as much as 25% or more off the ticket price this way. You’ll miss out on seeing the scenery you might see during the day but you’ll be more likely to snooze your way through the flight and time will go by faster.

Asia Vacations

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Jimmy Johnson

Although the season for a vacation is just past, there will be many more reason to go for a great vacation in the days and years to come. If you are among those who has not had an opportunity to come to the Asian region, I suggest you make your next vacation an Asian vacation. Not only will you have the time of your life in your Asian vacation, but you will also discover the joys of a whole new culture and way of life. Make that several new cultures, as nearly each country in the Asian region has its own, unique culture which is guarded and zealously protected.

Among the very first benefits of an Asian vacation will be the exchange value. All currencies in the Asian region are favorable when compared to the US dollar. So while on your Asian vacation, you can stretch your dollar to get you that much further and to do so much more. Add that to the fact that in regions like India and China there is always a craving for the green back and you can rest assured that you will manage the best deal.

One reason to visit Asia is how diverse the country is. From India to China, you will find everything from desert to lush tropical jungles and amazing architecture. While there is no way you will see everything in one visit, you will certainly get your fill on each and every visit. It is advisable that when you visit you choose an angle to sculpt your visit, either to see the historic sites, enjoy the natural beauty, relax at some of the amazing health spas or just amble your way around. Try not to spread your trip out to too big of an area, or you will just feel hurried and you won’t have the time to enjoy everything there is to offer.

China itself offers thousands of different opportunities to see and experience the varied culture. Not only can you visit any of China’s thousands of cities and villages, you could also take a spiritual journey into Tibet, go shopping in Hong Kong, or even take a short trip over to Taiwan and see what it is all about. Don’t forget the beautiful regions of Cambodia and Laos, which offer opportunities to see temples and statues that are hundreds of years old. If you really want a taste of the exotic then you will want to continue on through Burma and Indonesia. It is easy to see why you will need a lot of time to travel around if you want to see different areas of the region, otherwise you will just feel rushed and you won’t be able to enjoy all the sights of Asia.

If you’d rather stay in the more industrial regions of Asia, where you can find easy access to amenities as well as having less of a struggle with the language (there are more English speaking people in the major cities) then you will want to focus your trip on areas of Singapore and Tokyo, Japan. Here you will find some similarities between this interesting culture but with more Westernization. If you decide during your vacation that you want to see some more of the cultural aspects of this great region, then you can easily find these things within the town, or even shortly outside it. Wherever you choose to go, you will have a great time and come home with excellent memories.

Europe Train Travel Tips

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Ada Denis

If you want to really see Europe, train travel is by far the best choice. There is no better way to see a place than a leisurely train ride where you can see everything, from the countryside to the mountains to the dazzling lights of European cities.

Furthermore, Europe is made for train travel. Trains conveniently link every city from Athens to Helsinki (and everything in between).

There are many ways to organize a European railroad trip. There are Eurail passes that cover the entire continent, as well as more limited ones if you only want to visit certain parts of Europe. Which you should choose depends, of course, on your schedule, preferences and budget.

There is no “best time” to visit Europe, as there are advantages to going in every season. Summer is most convenient for many people, though it will be crowded and more expensive. Winter is great if you like sports like skiing. Fall and Spring offer both moderate temperatures and fewer crowds. But there are unlimited activities throughout the year in Europe.

If you plan a train trip to Europe, the most challenging thing is choosing the right train ticket or pass, as there are many choices. If you only get to visit Europe rarely, or if this is a once in a lifetime trip, you should see as much as you possibly can.

The great thing about Europe is that you have many countries close together with distinct language and cultures (even if most of them use the same currency now).

If you are traveling to Europe from another continent, you may want to fly into London and take the Eurostar to Paris. England and other parts of the UK are not part of the same train system as continental Europe, so your Eurail passes will not be honored there. Still, a trip to Europe is not complete without seeing London.

You can visit Eastern Europe as well as Western, though you will have to get a separate train pass for some of these countries. There is one pass that allows you to go to Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic.

If you get a train pass in Europe, make sure that any train you board will honor it. Not all trains do, and if you find yourself on a train that does not accept your pass you will have to pay for an extra ticket.

When visiting Europe, train travel is the way to see the most scenery, meet the most people and absorb as much as possible of the continent’s myriad of natural and cultural sites.

Top 5 Important Tips For a Long Vacation

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Ada Denis

So, you’re finally going on a long vacation! There are some things you should do before you go; planning ahead will ensure a safe and memorable trip. Some questions you should ask yourself are: how far are you going to drive every night, how are you going to keep the kids occupied, does your destination hotel accept pets, is the car ready, etc. Now that you’re thinking ahead, here are five important tips for a long vacation.

First, have your vehicle checked. Ask your mechanic for an oil change, tire rotate & balance and a mechanical inspection. The mechanic should check: oil & filter, transmission fluid, antifreeze, CV joints (on 4×4’s), spare tire, wrench and jack. Check your owner’s manual for any information you may need as to tire pressure, how to change a headlight etc.

Second tip, do you have an emergency kit? Some things that should be in it are: jumper cables, a can of tire inflator, flashlight (with good working batteries of course!), gloves, a simple tool kit with screwdrivers, pliers, sockets & driver, spare headlight, fuses & windshield wipers, can of motor oil and some extra antifreeze. If you will be traveling in the winter you should also have a large empty metal coffee can with a candle, chocolate or power bar, tea or coffee bags, and matches (in a zip-lock baggie) in it and a space-age blanket, wool socks and non-clumping kitty litter for traction.

Third tip is to pack appropriately for the weather; is it hotter or colder where you are going on your long vacation? If it’s hotter, add to your suit case: sunscreen, lotion, sandals, bathing suit, kids’ floaters, and beach towels. If it’s colder, add boots & boot socks, mittens & gloves, and hats & scarves.

Fourth tip is a first aid kit. You can buy traveler or vehicle first aid kits. The difference is mostly in their size and container. Traveler kits weigh less, have fewer supplies and are in a compact pouch and vehicle kits weigh more, have a few more supplies and the pouch folds up to fit in the glove compartment or under the seat.

The fifth tip is for if you’re travelling with children on a long vacation don’t forget to pack some of their favorite things; pillow, blanket, stuffed animal, quiet toys, crayons, coloring books, and pajamas. You’ll need some car-friendly snacks; trail mix, honey nut cheerios, raisins, banana chips, pretzels, granola bars etc.

Villa Rentals Turkey - Ancient and Modern

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Ricardo Trevellino

In recent years in particular, the Bodrum Peninsula has become a very popular Turkish destination.

This is an unspoiled and gorgeous part of Turkey and it is clear to see why this area has become just so popular. Nestling in amongst sandy beaches and historic little towns, these Turkish communities are naturally proud of their heritage and there are many historical sights to be seen.

Yalikavak, a harbour town with a horse shoe bay is just one such area, rich in history and tradition with historians believing the town dates back to at least 700 BC.

Despite the historic nature of the town, the residents have done a superb job of merging the old with the new, which makes for a uniquely pleasant atmosphere, welcoming both sun seekers and history buffs.

When describing Yalikavak it is easy to use the word tranquillity and be confident that you are not being clichd as despite the words over use in travel media, it fits this town very aptly.

Enjoying the same glorious weather as the rest of the region, it has an ace up its sleeve. There seems to be an almost constant refreshing breeze which provides respite from the hot summer sun whilst also gifting water sports enthusiasts with the wind power they crave.

That same breeze that provides pleasant respite for visitors also brings us back to the windmills. Yalikavak and windmills enjoy a special relationship and a stroll down the sea front will reveal an ancient treasure in the form of a 300 year old windmill. It has survived well, although restoration work is planned, clearly stating the importance the locals bestow on it.

‘Poplars by the sea’ is the translation of Yalikavak and although somewhat ironically the trees surrounding the area are not actually poplars, they do provide a stunning backdrop to the Aegean blue.

What about the beaches I hear you ask, after all I am sure most people would like at least a little beach time when they are on vacation. Preference may be for quiet secluded beaches, or slightly busier beaches or beaches where you can just sit and watch the locals go about their livelihoods, catching fish, as they have done for hundreds if not thousands of years. Yalikavak has them all!

If you are lucky enough to be in town on a Thursday you simply wont be able to resist the bazaar that arrives, the largest on the peninsula, peddling everything from exotic foods to Turkish carpets. It really is a feast for the senses!

Everybody has different accommodation preferences when going on holiday, some like to back pack, some like a hotel and other prefer a villa rental. Whichever is your preference, Yalikavak has something for all.

This wonderful part of Turkey is waiting for you to discover and explore.
