Working on your Stance to Perfect Your Golf Game

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Peter Mason

If you’re a beginning golfer then you’ve surely received a lot of advice about your golf stance; sometimes too much advice. People will tell you to place your feet a certain way, body turned at a certain angle, and position your body in a certain shape. They’ll give you tips like lining up the logo of your shirt with the ball. There is a reason why there are so many instructions and tips on your golf stance; pros will agree that stance and swing are the most important parts of golf. And since your swing is greatly affected by your stance, it can be said that your stance is at the heart of golfing.

While stance is very important don’t let it make you lose sight of the purpose of your game - to play well and have a good time. So don’t get bogged down with details or else you can loose sight of your goal. That being said, working on and perfecting your stance is important. While you might get lucky here and there with a drive using a poor stance, you won’t have consistency which is extremely important in this sport.

Before taking your stance, try your best to relax. While this may sound difficult if you’re finding your pose and incorporating techniques but just try not to be too rigid. Before gripping your club, relax your arms at your sides to help you maintain a relaxed stance.

According to many the stance should be slightly different for female golfers since they naturally have a different hip and pelvis make up. Since women’s hips are less rigid than men’s, a wider stance is usually necessary. In fact, some say that it’s easier for a woman since female hips are made to swing more.

Whether male or female, finding a comfortable golf stance is important. At first it may seem a bit unnatural but it should never cause you pain. If you want to perfect your stance, then you may need to utilize advice from others or try new techniques. In this case you may feel some discomfort until you’re used to it. When trying out new stance techniques, don’t do it on the golf course while playing a game. Poor playing will only discourage you and cause you to lose your self confidence. Reserve practice on your stance for the driving range.

The stance is very important for your golf game since it is the heart of your swing. Try new ways to improve your stance but don’t get caught up in the details of golf. Keep the big picture in sight; play your best game and have a fun time.

Read This Guide Before You Buy Your First Set Of Golf Clubs

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Golf Fan

Buying your first set of golf clubs can seem daunting with all the choices out there. To take away some of the confusion I have listed some things for you to keep in mind before getting your first set of golf clubs.

Be Clear About Your Golf Goals. If you have realistic goals before you set out to buy, it will make the process of buying clubs much easier. If you’re deeply committed to golf and plan to play every day, then obviously you’ll want to spend more time, money and effort on a set of clubs than if you only intend to play twice a year with your brother-in-law.

Assessing Your Levels of Dedication and Interest. If you honestly assess your dedication to golf, you can more easily determine how much to spend, and on what quality of clubs. How much will you be practicing? Will you be willing to take lessons? If you aren’t willing to go that far, then you’re probably better off going with a cheaper pair of clubs. If you plan to practice regularly, and take lessons, then you may want something more expensive.

New or Used Clubs? Used clubs are probably a good choice if you aren’t sure about your commitment or have a history of taking up hobbies and losing interest in them after a short time. They will be cheaper than new clubs and they can be replaced more easily later.

Shaft Options - The Basics. The two differences in golf shafts that beginners should keep in mind are shaft composition (graphite or steel) and shaft flex (the amount of bend in the shaft during your swing). Steel is cheaper and sturdier, but graphite is lighter, so it will generate more swing speed. Women and older players will benefit most from graphite shafts that have a softer flex. Stronger, younger men may go with regular or stiffer shafts, but remember that many teaching say too many golfers use shafts with too much stiffness. If you’d like to get more details about proper shaft selection consider getting the Golf Beginners Guide, a 272 page ebook created especially for the novice golfer.

Getting a Clubfitting. If you’re getting a new set of clubs, a clubfitting is an option. A clubfitting lasts about half an hour and is an option offered by many teaching pros. If you don’t want that, at least getting a measurement in a pro shop will ensure that the clubs you choose are well-suited to your body. If you are a 5-foot-10 male, then the standard clubs straight off the rack will fit you. However, if that description doesn’t fit you very well, you might want to get fitted.

Easier Golf with the Right Clubs. Of course, nothing will take the place of a good swing, but as a novice golfer you can make it easier on yourself by choosing clubs that are designed specifically for higher-handicappers. Known as “game improvement clubs”. You should choose irons that are cavity-backed and perimeter-weighted. Investigate “hybrid” sets, in which utility clubs replace the long irons - that is, the 3-, 4- and occasionally 5-irons. Go for more loft (i.e. 12 degrees), not less, when choosing a driver. Don’t pay attention to what kind of clubs the Tour players use.

Seek Advice, Ask Questions. If you have friends who play, ask them for advice. Ask at a pro shop or golf pro for recommendations. Get some idea of what you are really looking for. When you’ve done all this, and you’re ready to buy, remember to shop around. Range and price will always differ from one outlet to another, whether you’re shopping at pro shops, department stores, or garage sales. Just keep in mind your price range and only buy clubs within that range.

Winning Basketball Wagers; It can be done.

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Rob Webster

There are two kinds of gamblers… those who lie about their losses and those who don’t. Very few people who gamble come out ahead.

However, you can sometimes win betting on college basketball if you a both smart and lucky.

Those who do win…that small minority…tend to do it by strictly adhering to six simple rules.

1. Draw up a contract for yourself, in writing, before you begin betting. Included in it should be the maximum amount of money you will bet on any individual game, a limit on the number of games you will bet each week, and a ceiling on the total number of games on which you will place wagers during the season. If you ever find yourself tempted to exceed the limits set in your contract, get help…you may have a gambling problem.

2. Research, analyze, and review before placing a wager. Successful bettors rely on their intellects, not so-called gut feelings.

3. It is far easier to pick a few winners than a lot of winners. Do not bet on a game unless you have done a careful analysis of it, and bet only on contests about which you feel most confident about the result.

4. Do not get too carried away with trends, particularly longterm historical trends. Are statistics from past seasons really important? Decide what data is really relevant.

5. Whether you win or you lose, continue to analyze the effectiveness of your selection process. Are you betting too much with your heart? Are your perceptions about the quality of play in a given league proving to be correct? Are you giving too much (or too little) weight to the quality of teams’ coaches? Refine your selection criteria if warranted.

6. Be sure to appropriately factor in the homecourt advantage. In no other sport is playing at home as large an advantage as it is in basketball (especially college basketball).

If you follow the rules above without exception, the odds of your coming out on top against the pros…the online and the brick and mortar casinos…is still pretty low. But, you’ll have a good chance against your friends and in the office pools. And, the bragging rights are even more fun than the few dollars you can win.

Different Motorcycle Helmet Colors

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Frank Medley

There are a large array of different motorcycle helmets to choose from. Which one you should choose can be a difficult decision for any rider. Solid or pattern, florescent or metallic?

It can be hard for a motorcyclist to decide on a color for their helmet. Your helmet is most important for the safety it provides you, but it is also a good way to show off your style while riding.

Some riders choose a brightly colored helmet in order to improve their safety. A bright colored helmet can help motorists to see you more clearly, either during the day or at night, which you’re riding.

A solid motorcycle helmet color is the best if you want to be noticed by other drivers. You can also purchase a reflective strip so that their headlights will illuminate it, making you more noticeable, and therefore safer.

For a rider who is really concerned with letting their individuality show while they ride, there are many motorcycle helmet colors out there for everyone that are eye catching and can be personalized.

Say you’re a rider who can’t get enough of their bike. You might be able to find a helmet customized to your bikes colors. Check on the manufacturer’s website, or get it custom painted at your local bike shop.

If you’re a huge sports fan, and have some extra cash to spend, you can get a helmet with a graphic of your team’s logo, painted in your team’s colors. This will let you show your fandom on the road.

If you want a customized motorcycle helmet color, there are many different options, but they can get pricey. For a rider with a smaller budget, go with something plain and simple to cut costs.

At some venues you’ll also be chauffeured around a stage by your instructor at competition speeds, just to show you how it’s done.

Moto Cross Motocross racing is widely considered the world’s most popular form of motorcycle racing. Held on enclosed off-road circuits it has evolved from scrambling which was invented in the UK in 1924. With large tracks they usually incorporate many natural Motocross terrain features with added man made jumps and other extras. Skid Pan & Controlled Driving These skid car control experiences test your reflexes and co-ordination to the full as you learn the advanced techniques to counteract under steer and over steer in a simulated loss-of-control situation. Controlling a skid is a useful skill, and this experience teaches you all about it both as a fun day out, and as something you might need to use on the road one day. You’ll start with a safety briefing and a discussion on the cause and cures of different kinds of skids. Then you’ll use techniques that simulate loss of car control, with the vehicle seeming to get away from you.

Junior Driving This is your chance to let your child turn their dreams into reality in these fantastic junior experiences. From a young age children fantasize about driving supercars and this is their chance. Not only can these brilliant experiences give them precious time controlling a vehicle, developing skills for when they eventually become drivers, but it is a fantasy that will make them the king of the playground.

Karting Karting isn’t just for kids - it’s how many Grand Prix champions (including Jenson Button and current F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton) start out before moving on to fame and fast women. Whatever your racing ambitions, these experiences are loads of fun; whether you’re a novice or an expert you’ll enjoy the fast and furious sessions, racing others head-to-head around a specially-designed track. You’ll start with a briefing and a few untimed practice laps to get you familiar with the karts and circuit (and get your competitive streak going). Then you’ll compete against other drivers in race heats, semi-finals and finals.

Airtravel Tips - Traveling with Sports Equipment

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Tanja Martens

Are you passionate about sport? If so, there is a good chance that you are going to try to incorporate sports in your next vacation or business trip. If you plan enjoying a game of golf or a part of baseball, it is likely that you will need to bring some sports equipment with you. However, did you know that there are some restrictions on these points? If you plan to travel with sports equipment, the sport is not what this equipment is intended, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with these rules and restrictions.

As mentioned earlier, golf is a sport that many travelers enjoy participating in. If you plan to travel with their golf clubs, will have to treat them as checked baggage. All airlines currently have a ban on golf clubs to be used as carryon luggage. Because of the cost of most sets of golf club, or want to leave your home or in clubs to protect them adequately. If you travel to a golf resort or other popular holiday destination, there is a good chance that you should be able to rent a set of clubs. Although it will not be yours, it is good to know that a whole was safe at home.

In addition to golf, baseball is another sport enjoyed by many. Like golf clubs, baseball bats are prohibited from being used as carryon luggage. If you are about to enjoy a baseball game, your next vacation or business trip, you will want to save your baseball bats in a bag to ensure security conditions that can be transported across different airports. While baseball bats are banned from aircraft cabins, there is no mention of other teams, such as detachable, helmets, or baseball. For your convenience, you might want to store these supplies baseball in the same place as their baseball bats in their checked baggage.

Of course, if you plan enjoying a hunting trip during a vacation or a business trip, you need to keep your supplies in your checked luggage. All bows, arrows, and firearms are strictly prohibited from being in the aircraft cabins. In fact, if you try to pass through a checkpoint security at these points, there is a good chance that you will be stopped by airport security, for further questioning. Even though you may not necessarily reflect, bows, arrows and guns are only used for recreational purposes, but they are also used to harm others.

Additional sporting goods that are banned from being included in your carryon luggage include pool cues, ski poles, lacrosse sticks, or hockey sticks. As with all other items, if you are concerned with the safety of your sporting equipment, you are advised to rethink your decision to bring that equipment along. You can help to protect your equipment by making sure that everything is properly and safely packaged; however, there are no guarantees. You are also advised against relying on compensation from the airlines if and when your sports equipment suffers damage.

As mentioned earlier, there are some sporting goods that are directly prohibited, but other rules are not so clear. If you are trying to decide whether or not you can pack other teams in their carryon luggage, masks or other protective gear, we recommend that you ask before exiting the airport. In the event that these items are prohibited, it may need to make additional arrangements. Whether you decide to return to the themes of his car or mailed to your home, you may end up wasting time and money unnecessary.

Golfing In Las Vegas: How To Plan The Trip Of A Lifetime.

Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.

by Charles Davis

The more effort you put into planning a golf vacation, the higher the expectations become. There are so many logistical issues to keep on top of that the task can seem overwhelming at times. You shouldn’t let that dampen your enthusiasm for such a trip, because a golf vacation in a world class destination such as Las Vegas can be the trip of a lifetime.

There are basically two ways of planning and taking your golf vacation. You could just go out and purchase one of the best aall inclusive golf vacationsa, or do it your own way as they so popularly call it ago it alonea vacations. If you are aware of all the vacations spots, the schedules, the requirements, the itinerary and have the resources to carry all your golf supplies yourself, then you could plan out your own schedule and couple it with the readily available local agolf packagesa to make your outing a success.

The Las Vegas area is home to some of the world’s finest golf destinations, which should make it easy to put together a great vacation. However, it can be time-consuming to go through the pros and cons of all of these different destinations yourself. That is why many people opt for a vacation package. You may find that available packages do not include particular destinations that may be on your short-list.

Go online and research for \”discount golf in Las Vegas\” packages, or search from the exhaustive list of agolf packagesa looking specifically for Las Vegas options. The former choice will be much better if Vegas is truly your preferred golfing location. Your package should include all hotel or resort arrangements, guaranteed tee times, cart fees, driving range fees, and maybe even a snack or meal. Rental clubs should be available as well if needed (unless of course you choose to carry your own lucky golf clubs!) Look for savings via a aspecial offera if available.

The budget can play an important deciding factor while planning your vacation. While smaller or rather shorter 3-5 day packages could come for a few hundred dollars, longer aall inclusive golf vacationsa could cost you dearly and be a few thousands. But then the advantages also are worth it. You spend less time on your planning, your unexpected contingency surprises, and have more time to enjoy your vacation, your golf, and maybe even a spa treatment to relax and enjoy the full luxury of a Vegas vacation.

With so many outstanding golf courses spread around in Las Vegas, it is really a daunting task to pin point and shortlist the Las Vegas top courses. But then try and see if they figure in your agolf packagesa. Some of the top courses in Las Vegas are Rio Secco, Reflection Bay, TPC at the Canyons, Badlands, Primm Valley Golf Course, Wynn Las Vegas, to name just a few. Each course is a masterpiece of its own, and the opportunity of playing on one of them can be an unforgettable lifetime experience.

Just balance the pros and cons before planning your vacation. While agolf packagesa can give you a lot of relief from unwanted planning, and searching, besides the fantastic hotel rooms, and pre-booked tee times, a ago it alonea approach can have the benefit of going anywhere, when you like with more flexibility. But, this can also be a devastating and wasteful experience if your plans fail anywhere midway. And you will have no one but yourself to blame for a spoiled vacation.

What you want is to combine a great itinerary that hits all of the courses that you are interested in, that has a pace that suits your vacation style and that fits your budget. If you get the balance right, then you will be rewarded with a chance to relax and play golf on some of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. If you plan it right, a golf vacation in Las Vegas can be the trip of a lifetime.

For golfing, Las Vegas is at the top of premium vacation destinations. Not only does Las Vegas have championship golf courses, but it also has gold standard all inclusive resorts that will truly make your golf vacation everything you could want it to be.

There are so many golf courses and resorts to choose from that most people buy Las Vegas golf vacation packages. Vacation packages are the easiest way to plan a vacation. This is a cost effective way to get the most out of your vacation.

Las Vegas golf vacation packages include accommodations and amenities at the best all inclusive hotels and resorts in the surrounding area. These packages also include access to championship golf courses and come with all the perks that you could desire.

Wynn Las Vegas is a first class resort with premium rooms and everything else you could possibly need. Of course, this means it also comes with its own championship golf course. To sweeten the pot there is also a full service salon and spa, first class dining, a casino, and much more.

The Lake Las Vegas Golf Resort is another great option for your vacation packages. This resort is also all inclusive, and has a full service spa and championship golf course amenities. As an added bonus, it is only 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, but is also centered on a 320 acre privately owned lake for added privacy.

You could also visit the Paiute Resort. Not only does this place offer premium rooms, but it features the Paiute Resort golf course. This course has the distinction of being the longest in Nevada. Only one of three courses designed by Pete Dye, it has hosted many professional and famous golfers.

There are many other hotels and resorts that Las Vegas golf vacation packages offer. Budget friendly options are also available, but it is worth noting that although some hotels may be more cost effective per night, they may not offer the same gold amenities that you are looking for.

Las Vegas hotels have partnerships with local golf courses, so keep in mind that if you do not stay at certain hotels, you won’t be able to play their courses. Even though many of these courses are opened to the public, actual hotel guests will have play priority over non-guests. All it takes is a little research, and you will soon find yourself with the perfect golf vacation just for you.
