Here are five tips to save money in iBiza
Are you planning a vacation to Ibiza? Ibiza is a popular vacation spot and sees thousands of tourists every year. Even though an Ibiza vacation can be a once in a lifetime experience because of the beauty of Ibiza and the friendliness of the people a vacation to Ibiza can be very expensive. Here are some easy ways that you can save money on your vacation to Ibiza.
1. Book your flight and hotel in Ibiza online - When you go online to make travel arrangements you can often save a lot of money by comparing prices on flights and the price of great Ibiza hotels. You can also find great last minute deals on luxury Ibiza hotel rooms, car rental, and other things that you will need for trip. But if you’re going to book your flight, hotel, car rental or activities online be ready to buy because often if you don’t snap up a deal immediately you won’t find it again.
2. Eat where the locals eat and save money. You’ll also get a true flavor of the island. There are some great little workers caf’s hidden away on the island. Carls Chicken in Santa Eularia is also great value for money. Don’t waste money in a fancy restaurant that is designed to rip off the tourists. Ask a local to recommend a cheap place to eat and you could pay half of what you’d pay in posh restaurant.
3. Rent a Villa or a Condo Instead of a Hotel Room - Most people don’t know that you can rent an apartment, a small villa, or a condo in Ibiza instead of staying in a hotel or resort. There are lots of private owners that rent out property to tourists. After the cost of the airfare the largest expense of a vacation is a hotel. Renting an apartment instead of staying in a hotel for the length of your trip can save a lot of money. Also if you are staying in an apartment of villa you can buy groceries at a local market and cook your meals instead of eating out at every meal which can save a lot of money.
4. Bus it. Don’t rent a car - renting a car can be expensive on the island and it’s an expense you can do without. Most of the time the car lies empty and you have to pay fuel and parking costs which are not cheap. There is a great bus service all over the island and the buses are air conditioned too!
5. Use Local Supermarkets for snacks and drinks - When you are out and about in iBiza and you want to snack or get some fizzy drinks use the big supermarkets for you treats. Most resort shop charge an arm and a leg for stuff like this. The beach shops are also expensive - so plan ahead!
