Family Vacations in Burma: Very Possible
Thanks for visiting our WorldVentures site.
There is a country that had been beset by political storms and severe cultural duress for the past years of the world’s existence. This country had been marked by communist activity that had rendered tourism nearly improbable in this country. And yet, despite this turmoil, this country would be very ideal for family vacations.
Hardly no parent would associate the phrase “family vacation” with the thought of going to a country in turmoil, such as Burma. But if you are very adventurous parents, Burma may well be the best place for you to come and visit, and don’t forget to bring the kids along for a 7-day vacation filled with the wonders of nature.
But if you arm yourself with substantial research on Burma, as well as information on how to navigate yourself through the government authorities, a family vacation would be made possible in exotic Burma.
For the most part, your children would be thrilled to go to Burma for its wildlife. From tigers to crocodiles, and even leopards and the almost unheard-of tapir, Burma would be a fascination to you and your children. Nevermind the 7-day tourism limit. Nevermind the government, if you want to experience the wonders of nature and the joy of immersing in a culture that is so different from where you grew up in.
While Burma offers the wildlife for your children to be fascinated in, if you are an amateur sociologist, it would also be fascinating for you to meet new peoples and learn the way they live. Your children would also learn a thing or two from the character traits of a people who had been hailed by many a traveler as “uncommonly hospitable.”
The major downside to Burmese vacations would be the government. There are certain customs that are deemed unethical in the majority of the nations in the world, but in Burma, it seems almost necessary to commit bribery. Because of the restrictive regulations that the Burmese government imposes, a tourist there is not fully free.
If you are looking to give your children a wild vacation, a truly interesting and educational family vacation, skip Disneyland. Skip the aquariums and the dolphin pools. Live on the wild side, with crocs splashing in the wild rivers of Burma! Live on the edge, taking bus rides with your children across the landscape of a country in struggle. Teach your kids to pray as you pass by villages, and see change take effect within hours, to days to months, to years, as you and your kids pray for a nation struggling to break free!
