Does sex sell at trade show have been a major issue for the past few years? We know sex sell on TV and on bulletin boards. We are in a society where sex is all around us. Do they really sell at trade shows? First of all let?s discuss what we mean by sex at trade shows.
Trade show exhibitors tend to hire sexy models to stand around their product in their booth. A great deal of this is seen at various trade shows, SEMA show and the Auto shows are known for this. Does this sell product or services? Most attendees at there shows are males, males tend to like flashy cars and “booth babes” as they are refer to in this industry. This tends to draw attention to your booth.
“Booth Babes” should how ever be trained to not only to look good, but to have some knowledge about your product. These models should be taught about the product they are promoting. A perfect example of using your “booth babe” (due to the women in my life I will refer to these “booth babe as “booth models) to have them stand by a beautiful car at the show. You sell rims, teach the booth model about rims and if the question is over their head then they are to refer the potential buyer to a qualified sales rep.
Let’s face the fact just having a pretty model by your car or product will not sell that product. Most people at these shows will only step up to the model just have their picture taken with her or him. Your model should be taught something about the product and not be used only as a trophy piece. Your company as well as the model will be much more respected by the potential buyer.

Sound Branding - Create a Sonic Logo

A sonic logo is essentially a short jingle or audio identity used for brand development that is generally between 3 and 7 seconds long. In essence, it is the use of sound to convey the personality and values of a brand. 3. Next, figure out what sound effects or ambience will be able to communicate the brand’s ideals. For an environmental organization, for example, one might want to use sounds of water or birds to create a sort of nature montage.
4. Fourth, decide if voice is going to play a part in the sonic logo. Will there be a phrase such as “What’s in your wallet?” or will the logo simply contain a melody amidst sonic texture?
5. Fifth, ensure that the sonic logo is unique and memorable since it is meant to identify one brand and one brand alone.
The above steps are a great guide for making sonic logos that are relevant and effective. Always be certain that your client is proud of their new sonic identity and that the product you have made for them is original from anything else heard before. Once you accomplished these elements you have succeeded.
